The four-day weekend wasn’t the only thing that had citizens and residents excited this past Eid Al Adha. Amongst the hubbub of feasting, celebrating and shopping, there was also the small matter of the Eid in Dubai raffle draws held across three days by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) and Idealz, the first-of-its-kind online store. A total of 26 draws were held at Al Ghurair Center, Dubai Outlet Mall and Arabian Center respectively with the Grand Prize of AED1,000,000 being awarded on the first day.
The winner, Mr. Saud Altamimi from the UAE, appeared before a live audience at Dubai Outlet Mall on Sunday, his face naturally awash with joy and excitement as he collected a ceremonious cheque and commented, “If I’m being honest, I never expected this win, but I thank God for it and I’m very happy!”
