Get ready for the Avatar 2!

The much awaited sequel of Avatar (2009) is finally set to be released worldwide on December 16, 2022. Originally supposed to he released in 2021, the launch was held back due to the Covid—19 pandemic.

James Cameron is the director, producer and co—writer for all the upcoming Avatar sequel including the second. James Cameron had initially intended the release of Avatar 2 in 2014. Due to production’s continued delay until it officially got started in 2017. In July 2020, the director addressed the sequel’s latest delay in a long message to fans via a tweet.

We will see Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington as Neytiri and Jake Sully. Other cast members might also respire their roles including CCH Pounder as Mo’at, Giovanni Ribisi as Parker Selfridge, Joel David Moore as Norm Spellman, Dileep Rao as Dr. Max Patel. Interestingly, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Matt Gerald will all be back in Avatar 2, despite the fact that their characters died in the first Avatar movie.

We will see a few new characters with Kate Winslet playing a Na’vi named Ronal. Edie Falco as General Ardmore of the RDA. Jermaine Clement will play marine biologist named Dr. Ian Garvin, Cliff Curtis as Tonowari and Michelle Yeoh as scientist Dr. Karina Mogue. Oona Chaplin and Vin Diesel will also be joining the cast for roles yet unknown.
