The first look of Mohanlal’s upcoming action-comedy is here and it seems promising to say the least! The actor posted on social media on December 6 a poster for the movie, Aaraattu. The poster shows Mohanlal, clad in a red shirt getting out of a car with an amazing pair of sunglasses on. While it’s slated to release in 2021, the poster says, “Shoot in Progress.”
The Malayalam language movie is Mohanlal’s collaboration with director B. Unnikrishnan and writer Udayakrishna. The movie will also star Shraddha Srinath, playing an IAS officer along with Nedumudi Venu, Sai Kumar, Siddique, Vijayaraghavan, Indrans, Johny Antony, Sheela, Rachana Narayanankutty, and Swasika. Mohanlal’s also collaborated with writer Udayakrishna, on his earlier blockbuster, Pulimurugan.
This family entertainer will follow Mohanlal’s character, Neyyattinkara Gopan through his journey from a rustic hometown to a village in Palakkad. Reports earlier suggested that Mohanlal will be seen in a vintage black Mercedes Benz with the number plate, 2255, a nod to Mohanlal’s iconic line, “My phone number is 2255” from the movie Rajavinte Makan.
Could the car in the poster perhaps be the same car Gopan will ride around in? Fans will have to wait till 2021 to find out.
