The film based on Covid-19 takes a satirical look at the harsh realities of the society
Sanjay Mishra will be seen playing an inspirational role in Andaman. The film directed by debutant director Smita Singh has been written by Anand Raj who is also playing the protagonist. A satirical social drama, the film revolves around a makeshift quarantine-center in an unprivileged village and deals with the harsh realities of society.
Known for his powerful screen performances, Sanjay says, “No film or filmmaker is big or small. A film creates large impact only after its making. I’m sure this film will create that spark. I’m doing this film to support a new talent and have seen the hard work put by the director and the entire team hence said yes to the project. I really want new talent to grow because they come with fresh ideas and concept.”
On working with Sanjay, debutante director Smita says, “Working with Sanjay Mishra was not just fun and inspirational, but it was more of learning from such extremely talented and experienced actor. As me being a debut director in the film, he guided me a lot through the technicalities. He is such a warm, hardworking and genuine person which puts fire in hearts of everyone. Since long I was a fan of his acting and then working with him was such a momentous and comprehending journey.”
The film has been shot in Lucknow and other parts of Uttar Pradesh. Rooted in the daily life challenges of common people in rural areas, it reflects how the most challenging times can pave the way for the greatest of transformations. The film has been produced by 8 Pillars Motion Pictures.
