Salman Khan to return as ‘Tiger’ with Kabir Khan as director?

There’s good news for Salman Khan fans and an even better one for the fans of his ‘Tiger’ series – Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2018). The Bollywood actor is set to star in the third installment of the blockbuster franchise and if reports are to be believed, then the third film will be directed by Kabir Khan.

The filmmaker who had directed Salman in the first film – Ek Tha Tiger – has also helmed the actor’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) and then Tubelight (2017). However, buzz was that the two had a fall-out during the making of Tubelight over creative differences. While Kabir had rubbished all the reports of any fall-out back then, it was Ali Abbas Zafar who was roped in for the second Tiger film – Tiger Zinda Hai.

Now reports claim that it was on Zafar’s insistence that the production house YRF has approached Kabir to direct the third Tiger installment. As per reports, Zafar is busy with his superhero film with Katrina Kaif and so suggested that Kabir take up the film. If the buzz is true then the Tiger film will be planned for a 2022 release.
