SOLICITUDE: Meera Gandhi Transforms Compassion into Action!

Meera Gandhi’s radiance and high-energy spirit are instantly captivating. As the founder and CEO of The Giving Back Foundation, Meera seamlessly bridges the worlds of global elite society and grassroots philanthropy. One day, she might be seen raising a toast with Cherie Blair or Elton John; the next, she’s in Mumbai, spreading hope to underprivileged children through her many charitable initiatives.

Rather than resting on her privileges, Gandhi has dedicated her life to using her resources to uplift others. “We are to the universe, only as much as we give back to it,” she says, embodying her philosophy with grace and purpose.

A Journey Rooted in Compassion

Born in Mumbai to an Indian naval officer and an Irish mother, Gandhi’s worldview was shaped by her diverse upbringing and early exposure to altruism. As a teenager, she met Mother Teresa and volunteered with disabled children, learning invaluable lessons in compassion and joy. “What struck me about Mother Teresa was how she was always happy, always unfazed,” recalls Gandhi.

After earning her degree in economics at Delhi University and completing an executive education program at Harvard Business School, she launched The Giving Back Foundation in 2010. Since then, the organization has partnered with over 75 charities across five continents, supporting education, mental health, and women’s empowerment.

Mental Wellness in Focus

While philanthropy often conjures images of financial support, Gandhi emphasizes the importance of mental wellness. Her foundation hosts the Ledgewood retreat, The Meera Gandhi Show on B4U TV Network, 3 Tips, a show on Instagram and The 3 Tips Podcast, all of which are aimed at helping individuals reconnect with themselves through yoga, meditation, and healthy living.

“Stress is universal,” she explains. “Taking time to slow down, breathe, and meditate brings us back to our center. A calm mind leads to a joyful life.” Meera believes that mental health is as vital as physical health, and she’s dedicated to creating accessible resources to support it.

The Joy of Giving

For Meera Gandhi, giving isn’t just about money—it’s about presence, empathy, and uplifting others. Her latest book, 3 Tips: The Essentials for Peace, Love, and Success, simplifies complex issues into actionable advice, making wellness and spirituality accessible to all.

“Joyful living is when you’re present and unburdened by life’s problems,” she says. “Living in alignment—when what we think, say, and do are one—creates a ripple effect of positivity.”

Gandhi’s daily routine reflects her commitment to balance and purpose. Early morning meditation, yoga, and meaningful work fill her days, while evenings are spent connecting with loved ones. For her, success stems from gratitude, hard work, and a kind attitude.

“I truly believe we are energy sources,” she says. “By radiating positivity, we uplift the world around us. Being joyful and present is the greatest service we can offer.”
