In this third and final installment of The Equalizer series, Denzel Washington reprises his legendary role as former US assassin Robert McCall and returns as a man in an unwavering pursuit of justice and redemption. Having left behind his shadowy past as a government assassin, Robert McCall grapples with the haunting memories of his actions and is tying all lose ends, in this final chapter.
McCall finds himself in a small, idyllic town in Southern Italy where he forms a close friendship with a kind doctor and a bond with its locals. When these locals face the brutal and ruthless mafia out to grab their homes and harass them with extortion, McCall steps 
in taking the audience on an adrenaline-pumping cinematic experience.
The actioner is fast-paced and edgy, yet balanced with the emotional cushioning in layers of bonding as McCall forges new friendships. The director skillfully crafts a narrative that delves deep into McCall’s psyche, exploring themes of atonement and his inane pursuit of justice. The film’s breathtaking sequences set against the backdrop of Southern Italy’s picturesque landscapes add an extra layer of visual splendor and might just make you want to turn touristy and visit Italy!
The Equalizer 3 brings to the screen Washington’s signature intensity and age has clearly done nothing to this fine actor, who speaks volumes with his gaze.
