The FIFA World Cup 2026 UAE viewing guide in one line: beIN held the rights and showed all 104 matches of the first 48-team World Cup live, mostly through the UAE night. Here is how UAE viewers watched, what the kick-off times meant in UAE time and how the Arab teams fared.

FIFA World Cup 2026 UAE coverage belonged to beIN SPORTS, the official broadcaster for the Middle East and North Africa, which carried all 104 matches live on satellite, on beIN CONNECT and on its TOD streaming service. There was no free-to-air coverage in the UAE, so a subscription was the only way to watch live.

The tournament ran from 11 June to 19 July 2026 across the United States, Canada and Mexico, and ended with Spain beating Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the final. Because of the time difference, most matches landed between 11pm and the following morning in the UAE.

FIFA World Cup 2026 UAE: beIN CONNECT and satellite

beIN CONNECT carried all 104 matches live and worked across phones, laptops and smart TVs, with studio analysis, previews and reviews alongside the games. For viewers who wanted every match, it was the simplest route.

A beIN SPORTS satellite subscription with dedicated World Cup channels was the traditional alternative. beIN also added six MAX channels and more than 17 hours of daily World Cup programming, as Khaleej Times reported.

FIFA World Cup 2026 UAE: TOD and the talabat Pro deal

TOD by beIN was billed as the exclusive streaming platform for the tournament, and it did not require a full satellite package. Its features included MultiView, 4K and HDR streams, interactive timelines and automatic match highlights.

For many FIFA World Cup 2026 UAE viewers, another route came through a delivery app. From 4 June, talabat users who subscribed to or renewed an annual talabat Pro plan received a complimentary one-year TOD entertainment subscription, which included live and on-demand World Cup streaming.

Neither Khaleej Times nor Gulf News published package prices, so check the beIN and talabat apps for current rates before you subscribe for future tournaments.

FIFA World Cup 2026 UAE: free ways to follow

YouTube, an official FIFA platform partner, carried extended highlights, behind-the-scenes clips, Shorts and archive footage. Some broadcasters streamed the opening 10 minutes of matches, and selected media partners showed a limited number of full games.

The FIFA+ app offered fixtures, live scores, statistics, standings and highlights. Neither replaced a beIN subscription for live football in the UAE.

FIFA World Cup 2026 UAE kick-off times

The UAE is eight hours ahead of New York and 11 hours ahead of Los Angeles in summer, so group-stage kick-offs in UAE time fell at 11pm, 2am, 5am and between 8am and 11am, according to Gulf News.

That turned the FIFA World Cup 2026 UAE schedule into a test of stamina for anyone with a day job. The 11pm slot was the easiest to watch live, and on-demand streams on TOD and highlights on YouTube covered the rest. The final kicked off at 3.06pm in New Jersey, just after 11pm in the UAE.

FIFA World Cup 2026 UAE fans got their first match on 11 June, when Mexico opened the tournament at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. With 16 venues spread across three countries, kick-off times shifted from day to day, so the FIFA+ fixture list was the easiest way to keep track.

How the Arab teams fared

The expanded format brought eight Arab nations: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Iraq from Asia, and Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria from Africa, according to the tournament’s Wikipedia entry. For the UAE’s large Arab expatriate communities, there was rarely a night without a team to cheer.

Morocco and Egypt both finished second in their groups to reach the knockout rounds, while Algeria took third place in Group J with four points. Jordan made its World Cup debut but finished bottom of that group, and Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Tunisia and Iraq also went out at the group stage.

Spain won the final

Spain beat Argentina 1-0 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on 19 July, with Ferran Torres scoring in the 106th minute, during extra time, in front of 80,663 fans. Spain had reached the final by beating France 2-0 in Dallas, and the win gave them their second World Cup title.

Kylian Mbappé won the Golden Boot with 10 goals, Rodri took the Golden Ball and Pau Cubarsí was named best young player. England finished third, and total attendance reached a record 6,810,966, an average of about 65,490 per match, beating the previous best set in 1994.

Where UAE fans watched with a crowd

Sports bars, fan zones and public screenings across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates were expected throughout the tournament, according to Gulf News. Dubai has done this on a bigger scale before, as our report on the FIFA Fan Festival in Dubai during the 2022 tournament in Qatar showed.

Fans flying out from the UAE to North America had paperwork to think about too: Gulf News reported a warning from the US Embassy in the UAE that a match ticket would not guarantee a visa.

For the next big tournament, book a table early for knockout nights and test your streaming login before the opening match, when demand peaks.
