Actress Zawe Ashton is set to fight it out with Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel in Captain Marvel 2. While the exact character is unknown, Zawe is all set out to star as the main villain.
Ashton is most recognized for Velvet Buzzsaw, in which she starred alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. She also appeared in Betrayal with Tom Hiddleston.
Captain Marvel 2 is to be directed by Nia DaCosta, and screenwriter Megan McDonnell is to pen the script of the upcoming sequel. The cast will also include Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris.
According to reports, Captain Marvel 2 is slated to release in theatres on 11 November 2021. Captain Marvel broke ground in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to spotlight the first female superhero with Carol Danver.
