Ajay Devgn took to twitter to announce the untimely demise of his brother Anil Devgan on Tuesday (October 6, 2020). The actor said the family was left ‘heartbroken’ however there will be no personal prayer meet due to the pandemic. Anil Devgan had directed two of Ajay’s films, Raju Chacha and Blackmail of which Raju Chacha was Anil’s debut film. He was also the creative director on Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardar and also worked as an assistant director for movies like Pyar To Hona Hi Tha and Jaan.
Ajay Devgn’s well-wishers prayed for the family’s strength, as he tweeted, “I lost my brother Anil Devgan last night. His untimely demise has left our family heartbroken. ADFF & I will miss his presence dearly. Pray for his soul. Due to the pandemic, we will not have a personal prayer meet.”
Ajay also lost his father, the renowned action-director, Veeru Devgan last year (2019).
