Bollywood style divas get ‘Saree’ed away!

An essential of the Indian wardrobe, there’s a sense of oneness that comes from wearing a saree and the iconic wear never goes out of fashion. While there are culturally varying ways of wearing a saree, our B-Town glamazons have their own takes too. Upping the style game by notches they use the cloth yards to get a whole new look. Let’s look at some of the divas dazzling in their own saree styles:
Shilpa Shetty Kundra
Shilpa Shetty Kundra wears a one-piece saree and blouse. The saree is strapless and in the form of a gown. Shilpa belts it up to create a nice division. She pairs it up with a green tassel choker embellished with a stone.
Masaba Gupta
Masaba Gupta combines a quarter sleeved T-shirt blouse with a black saree adorned with silver designs in the form of Arabian teapots. She contrasts the outfit with a green and red ornamented gold choker.
Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut can wear a saree anywhere and rock it too – be it the airport or the red carpet at Cannes! Audrey Hepburn meets Sridevi in Kangana’s new saree look. She pairs up a golden saree with a corset style blouse and purple evening gloves. Kangana looks like a classic desi ballroom beauty.
Kriti Sanon
Kriti Sanon’s saree look is complex in its simplicity – it’s demure and sporty. A simple kurta with an olive green saree along with a pair of white sneakers creates Kriti’s athletic Indian look. Her kohled eyes with pink lips, jhumkas, and twisted braids add a touch of magic to the look.
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja
Sonam Kapoor is invincible when it comes to styling sarees in unique ways. Here, she styles her blue silk floral saree with an oversized, mauve, button-up blouse with balloon sleeves. Sonam accessorises her saree with chunky silver jewellery and kolhapuri footwear.
