It’s been eight years since Homi Adajania’s Cocktail starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty released. And to mark the special date, Deepika turned Veronica for a day!
Not only did the Bollywood star take to her Instagram to share a cute note, but she also changed her Insta handle name to Veronica, which was her screen name in Cocktail. “Often I’m asked if there is a moment I would like to live…The answer is YES!” posted Deepika on her Insta account, celebrating eight years of her film. The film has been a landmark in her career. Veronica Malaney’s role demanded a powerful and bold performance that Deepika pulled off with grace and utter ease. Although the film had three actors in the lead, it could be called a female-centric film revolving around Veronica. Deepika displayed the various complexities of the character with great dexterity. Cocktail presented Deepika Padukone as she had never been seen before. Her career as an actress has only gone uphill since then.
