EID-UL-ADHA 2025: Check out these makeup tips that slay throughout the day!

Eid is around the corner and degrees have peaked before summer – it literally gives ‘oh darling, we’ve just got started’ vibes. Heavy makeup feels the same as wearing heavy outfits to slay – from skincare layers to the last touchup of highlighter – it’s a bit too much and of course, you fear your makeup will melt like the ice cream you just bought. So, here’s some makeup tips that’ll help you look like ‘I just did my makeup!’

Start with Skincare

Cleanse, tone, moisturize – and don’t forget that SPF. A greasy base is a slippery makeup slope. Think of gel-based moisturizers and mattifying sunscreens that play nice with makeup.

Prime Time, Baby

Primer is your invisible shield against heat and humidity. Go for mattifying primers or hydrating primers with a tacky finish help your foundation grip better than your uncle at Eid hugs.

Foundation That Doesn’t Flake or Fake

Ditch the full-coverage cement. Opt for lightweight, breathable formulas. Blend with a damp beauty sponge for a skin-like finish. Spot-conceal only where needed. Because natural glow is better than makeup meltdown.

Conceal with Intention

Use a long-wear, crease-proof concealer under the eyes, around the nose, and after your nap breakout zones. Set lightly with a translucent powder – especially the T-zone, where shine likes to party.

Bronzer = Summer Magic

If you want that just-came-back-from-a-beach-holiday look without leaving your AC – bronzer is the answer. Use a matte bronzer for natural definition. Apply on cheekbones, temples, and a touch across the nose for that sun-kissed vibe.

Blush It Real Good

Cream blushes melt into the skin and looks are a chef’s kiss. Coral and rosy tones are perfect for Eid mornings. For longevity, layer a powder blush on top, double the staying power, double the charm.

Highlight, But Don’t Blind

Keep it glowy, not greasy. Use a liquid highlighter for a dewy glow under foundation or dust a champagne or gold powder highlight on the high points of your face – cheekbones, brow bone, tip of the nose. Avoid chunky glitter – it melts weirdly and turns into disco sweat.

Lips That Last Through Kebabs

  • Line your lips first – it acts like a border control for your lipstick.
  • Go for long-wear liquid lipsticks or creamy matte formulas.
  • Layer a tinted lip balm underneath for hydration and color.
  • Carry a mini lipstick in your clutch for touch-ups between chai rounds.

Eyes That Don’t Cry

  • Brows: Use a waterproof pencil or pomade. Then set it with a clear brow gel.
  • Eyeshadow: Stick to creams or liquid shadows – they don’t crease like powders do.
  • Eyeliner: Always a waterproof eyeliner. Wing optional but encouraged.
  • Mascara: One word – waterproof.

Lock It All In

Setting spray = your personal glam bodyguard.

  • Matte finish if you’re oily.
  • Dewy if you’re dry—but still want to glow, not sweat.
  • Mist generously and fan like you’re Beyoncé in concert.

Instead of layering powder every hour, use blotting paper to gently soak up excess oil without messing up your masterpiece. Your skin will thank you.

Whether you’re rocking bold glam or soft-glow realness, this Eid is your time to shine. With these summer-proof tips, your makeup will last longer than your post-Eid food coma. So go forth, beat that face, and serve Eid realness all day long.
