Hit the bull’s eye at Baku shooting center

Shooting is not just like any other sports or hobbies. The first time you pull the trigger is a rewarding experience that you will never forget, and the first time to hit the target is a proud moment. At Baku Shooting Center, which is one of Europe’s largest shooting complexes, you can practice your shooting skills, learn how to hit the bull’s eye while having a blast. With a modern bright interior, the center hosts many competitions and training both in indoor and outdoor shooting ranges. Shooting competitions at distances of 10, 25, 50 and 300 metres can be held in the center, and the number of competitors is determined based on these distances. 5 shooting grounds for trap shooting were constructed in the building and 75 target throwing machines for trench shooting were installed in these grounds.

Prior to starting the practice, the visitors are trained by the instructors and the safety rules are explained, following that they are fully ready to show off their abilities. During the training and shooting period, each visitor is accompanied by a private guide. What’s more, the center offers a range of opportunities for young people over 13 years old who are interested in shooting, from learning to shooting and getting involved in competitions. The place is also ideal for team building on a high level. During the rat race, referees supervise the competitions and determine the results of the semi-finals and finals.

There is also a four-storey building with a terrace available for athletes and coaches and visitors to accommodate and relax. The building includes various functional areas, a cafe, a VIP waiting and relaxation area, a training room, doping control, weapons storage, conference and media rooms, a medical center, and a fitness hall. Experience the mountains of Sheki on horseback

Sheki is well-known for its historical monuments and stunning nature, but you can also indulge in active relaxation here. One of the most memorable and interesting adventures available is ascending the magnificent Caucasus Mountains on horseback. Starting from the Kish Adasi restaurant and recreation centre near the historic village of Kish, there are horse riding routes going in several directions which will allow you to take in the spectacular nature and history of the region.

Along with admiring all the gorgeous scenery as you crisscross the mountains, you’ll pass by local attractions such as the Gelersen-Gorersen Fortress, Sheki Khan’s Palace, Khan’s Plateau, Gaynar waterfall and Bash Kungut village. And before you set off, you’ll undergo a short training and session led by experienced instructors. Those not keen to venture far, meanwhile, can simply ride a horse in the recreation centre. A trip to the village of Sim the pearl of Astara

It is not a secret that, the Talysh mountains have a mysterious nature. Sim village of Astara is also located in the heart of Talysh mountains. Did you know that the name of the village is translated from the Talysh language as “slippery, rocky”?! Sim village means a village located on a rock.

Through the untouched nature of this village, you will feel like a traveler discovering new places, passing through the remains of thousands of years old trees, rocks and historical buildings. The smiles on the faces of the hospitable locals will leave a lasting impression on your heart. The population of the village is mainly engaged in beekeeping, vegetable growing and cattle breeding.

Sim village has a unique and very different atmosphere. This is due to the large old trees and tall mossy rocks between and around the houses in the village. The village has a strange magical atmosphere, as in fairy tales. If you go to the end of the village, you will have a wonderful surprise, this is Sim Waterfalls. Around the waterfall you can have a picnic or drink the local Astara tea made in Samovar. To get to the waterfall, you will be accompanied by UAZ and Niva cars organized by the local population. So the difficult and narrow paths will give you a real sense of adventure.

In addition, on the way to the village of Sim, you can see the landscape in the reservoir (Ojakaran village, in the entrance of Sim village), which opens to perfect beauty. Another interesting place in Sim village is the White Bridge. Here you can sit in the middle of the river, taste the local Astara tea with local desserts and jams and enjoy the view.

Mandarin orchards along the way will make a good impression on you, and if you visit during the season, you can also buy mandarins in the orchards. In addition, stopping the car and watching the endless breathtaking view of the Caspian Sea from the top of the mountain should be also on the bucket list.

When returning, do not forget to buy natural honey and local Astara tea, even some lemons which is locat sitrus fruit of Lankaran region.
