Finally, we are registering the fact that these shows mean a lot more things, with the female characters being the in charge of the story, creators let the characters be multifaceted and it can be very refreshing to watch. With all the time we have got to watch and explore different kind of genres, here are five women centric shows you can not miss out on :
Fleabag
Struggling with the death of her best friend and mother, Fleabag is a story about a woman trying to heal from her grief while also surviving in London. Written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge who also plays the lead character Fleabag in the show has done a wonderful job in putting out the emotions of an angry, dry-witted woman in the most realistic way possible.
Killing Eve
The show Killing Eve was also written by the award winning playwright Phoebe Waller-Bridge and just like all the other times she didn’t fail to amaze us. The two women who are poles apart and living their lives on a very different tangent has great chemistries to set the sparks off. The show moves on a good pace to not bore you!
Handmaid’s Tale
The show, however not being for the ones with the faint heart concerning the graphics that are painful to watch at times, is one of those shows that touches on the sensitive issues and political landscape. The show has an intense storyline, great direction and is all in all is an interesting watch.
Big Little Lies
Big Little Lies explores the lives of various ladies and their connections. Despite the fact that the focal plot of the show rotates around a homicide, it additionally gives us an understanding into the lives of its three protagonists, played by Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley and the little yet dangerous lies are discovered over the time in the show that are told for the survival in a male dominant society.
Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
