It’s a win for Gwyneth Paltrow in the ski crash trial

In the most high profile celebrity court case in the US this year, actress and businesswoman Gwyneth Paltrow was sued for liability in a 2016 collision on a Utah mountain from 2016, by optometrist Terry Sanderson. Yesterday, she was found not liable for collision, and declared that Sanderson was at fault for the crash.

This trial was a public one and gained massive audience attention, as Sanderson sued Paltrow for $300,000 in damages, and in turn, Paltrow countersued him for $1. through the trial, the Hollywood star’s sartorial choices have also generated much attention, and has viewers hooked.

It was a swift trial though, and what’s notable was that as Paltrow walked to leave the court post the judgement, she paused at a seated Sanderson and said, “I wish you well.” Of course, this quote has gone viral, with her fans applauding her magnanimity.

In an email statement, Paltrow announced, “I felt that acquiescing to a false claim compromised my integrity. I am pleased with the outcome and I appreciate all of the hard work of Judge Holmberg and the jury, and thank them for their thoughtfulness in handling this case.”
