Sanjay Dutt diagnosed with lung cancer; to fly to the US for treatment

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt has reportedly been diagnosed with lung cancer and is expected to fly to the US for immediate medical treatment. While the actor had earlier in the day announced that he would be taking a short break from work for medical treatment, he had urged his well-wishers “not to worry or unnecessarily speculate” adding that, with their love and good wishes, he will be back soon. “Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon,” shared Dutt.

However, now reports are surfacing that say the actor has been diagnosed with stage 3 of lung cancer and since he would be flying to the US for his treatment as soon as possible, is why he has announced his break. Dutt had recently been hospitalised on Saturday evening (August 7) after he complained of breathlessness and discomfort in chest. He was discharged on Monday (August 10) after being kept under observation in the non-Covid ICU for two days as the actor had tested Negative for Covid-19. The 61-year-old star had updated his fans about his health and tweeted: “Just wanted to assure everyone that I’m doing well. I’m currently under medical observation & my COVID-19 report is negative. With the help & care of the doctors, nurses & staff at Lilavati hospital, I should be home in a day or two. Thank you for your well wishes & blessings.”

Meanwhile, Maanayata Dutt and their children – Shahran and Iqra – are currently in Dubai, where they had gone before the lockdown was announced. On the work front, besides the soon-to-release Sadak 2, Dutt also stars in Bhuj: The Pride of India, Shamshera, Prithviraj, Torbaaz and KGF 2.

We pray and wish for his speedy recovery.
