Renowned director Rohan Ghose and ZEE5 Global come together to give a visual delight to their fans – ‘Mukti’. This ZEE5 Original Bengali series is a patriotic period drama, based in the early 1930s, when Indians struggled for freedom from the tyrannical rule of the British empire.
‘Mukti’ is directed by renowned director, Rohan Ghose who has also directed notable ZEE5 projects, ‘Kaali 2’, ‘Mafia’ and ‘Bhalobashar Shohor 1’ and is produced by Pritam Choudhury who has worked with eminent directors like Mira Nair, Aparna Sen, Rituporno Ghosh among others. The film marks Ritwick Chakraborty and Arjun Chakroborty’s debut on ZEE5 and the return of Ditipriya Roy to Zee family after her popular portrayal of Rashmoni in Zee Bangla’s show, ‘c also features Sudip Sarkar and Chitrangda Chakraborty in pivotal roles. The cast and crew have commenced the shoot and the series will premiere on ZEE5 early next year.
ZEE5 has a packed slate of Original Bengali content in 2022 starting with ‘Mukti’ and followed by Feluda – ‘Gangtok E Gondogol’ directed by Arindam Sil, ‘Seven’ directed by Anjan Dutt, ‘Shwetkali’ produced by Acropolis Entertainment, ‘Raktakarabi’ starring Vikram Chatterjee and Raima Sen to name a few.
