UAE’s new OTT platform FilMe clocks 1 million usage

FilMe, a recent entrant in the OTT space is already making its presence felt in the UAE market with its unique hybrid content delivery mechanism. Offering one of the easiest methods to enjoy the latest movies with a simple QR code, FilMe has within a short span of seven months already clocked in a million usages. The newest innovation in the entertainment technology space, FilMe has achieved the feat with the help of its distribution partners like Khaleej Times, Lulu Hypermarkets, ZOOM, One PrePay, NT Payments and Gulf Solutions.

Creating a niche for itself with regional Indian content primarily in Malayalam and Tamil languages, FilMe is releasing almost two movies every week. Recent titles available include Karnan, Mandela, Nizhal and Aarkariyam. Viewers can buy these movies from the cash counters of Lulu Hypermarkets for immediate consumption without any app download or subscription. FilMe is LIVE at Lulu online store as well.

With Khaleej Times, FilMe has set up its hybrid platform where viewers can watch movies seamlessly on smartphones, tablets and on smart TVs. Salman Khan-starrer Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai recently had its UAE digital premiere on this platform. Plenty of Hindi content is also available for free on Soon customers can also watch a huge variety of content of over 1000 hours for free including new movies.
