Wonder Woman 1984 promotions on Burj Khalifa from Dec 15th

Dubai’s stunning 160-storeyed Burj Khalifa is all set to light up with moving images of Wonder Woman in her latest big screen adventure as she dons wings of gold and rides lightning across the sky. In anticipation of the UAE opening of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Wonder Woman 1984, one of the world’s most loved superheroes is taking over the world’s tallest building—the magnificent Burj Khalifa to showcase the film’s incredible visuals and rousing audio on a massive scale.

The LED screen running down the east side of the 828-metre-tall Burj Khalifa was unveiled at the “Light Up 2018” New Year’s celebration captivating millions of viewers, both live and via live internet broadcasts across the world and has won Guiness World Records for the largest LED-illuminated façade and the tallest LED-illuminated façade. It has been a giant screen for several noted film promotions.

On December 15th, beginning at 7:30 p.m. local time (7:30 a.m. PDT), the towering Burj Khalifa in Dubai will come to life as dynamic images from this new chapter in the Wonder Woman story, appear on its soaring structure.  The one-time even marks the first time the global superhero has been presented on such a gigantic scale.

 

Spectacular effects will herald the arrival of the stars of “Wonder Woman 1984”— disrupting the sky with a static glitch effect before diving into dazzling scenes from the new trailer.  Adding sound to the stunning show, Jo Blankenburg’s majestic music from the film’s trailer will underscore the event.

Wonder Woman 1984 releases across UAE cinemas and the rest of the GCC on December 17. The film also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as The Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Max Lord, Robin Wright as Antiope, and Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta. Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot and Stephen Jones are producing the film.  Rebecca Steel Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Marianne Jenkins, Geoff Johns, Walter Hamada, Chantal Nong Vo and Wesley Coller are the executive producers.

Patty Jenkins directed from a screenplay she wrote with Geoff Johns & David Callaham, story by Jenkins & Johns, based on characters from DC. Joining the director behind the scenes are several members of her “Wonder Woman” team, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, Oscar-nominated production designer Aline Bonetto (“Amélie”), and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming (“Topsy-Turvy”).   Oscar-nominated editor Richard Pearson (“United 93”) is cutting the film.  The music is by Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer (“Dunkirk,” “The Lion King”).
