Anushka Sharma to Dia Mirza: Stars who proved to be successful entrepreneurs!

The last few years saw a bevy of female actors turning their passions into professions by donning the hat of an entrepreneur. While some branched into fitness, others unveiled their own production houses and tied up with fashion studios. Seems like multitasking has become the order of the day! We take a look at some of the most successful actor-cum-entrepreneurs, who have reinforced the adage ‘a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one’ and has set a precedent for the women of today.

Anushka Sharma

After her maiden production NH10 (2015) became a critical success, she went on to produce genre-defining films like Pari (2018), Bulbbul (2020) and the acclaimed web series like Paatal Lok (2020), thus making Clean Slate Films one of the most credible banners. In 2017, she also unveiled Nush, a clothing line, on e-commerce site Myntra, in partnership with Suditi Industries Ltd, to make fashion accessible in terms of price and style.

Malaika Arora

Dia Mirza

The actor and former Miss Asia Pacific International rose to fame with her debut film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein in 2000, which won her instant recognition. Mirza started her first production company Born Free Entertainment and produced films such as Love Breakups Zindagi (2011) and Bobby Jasoos (2014) and the web series Mind The Malhotras (2019).
