Have you ever wondered what people did before cosmetics were manufactured? Well, same! So how about we try an all organic and a cent percent natural make-up routine:
Let’s begin with what Cleopatra did. Cleopatra is said to have bathed in milk. You don’t have to bathe in it. Just mix a little bit of milk with some honey and rose water and apply it all over your face and neck. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash it off. This not only awakens your inner Cleopatra but also helps freshen up your skin and give it a glow. This eliminates the need to apply a base.
Now we’re going to make kajal to line your eyes. First, you need to take an almond with a tweezer and hold it near a flame till it turns crisp. Once that’s done, powder the burnt almond. To it add some fresh aloe vera gel (not the packaged one) and coconut oil and store the kajal in an airtight container. The kajal can be stored for a long time and looks quite lovely when applied. You’ve to apply this kajal with your ring finger.
Now, who doesn’t like those rosy cheeks? Well, to achieve it is simple. The simple solution is beetroot juice. Beetroot juice can give that natural-looking tint on the cheeks and the same can be used on the lips. If you choose to store it, mix it with virgin coconut oil and put it in the refrigerator. Take out and use it when required.
Now, all that’s left is your lashes. A DIY mascara could be made using coconut oil, beeswax, and aloe vera gel. You’ve to mix coconut oil and aloe vera gel in a container and put hot melted beeswax on it. Let it cool and you have your mascara ready!
For an easier alternative, you could just use castor oil, but it may be too thick and sticky.
Well, you’re all done! But don’t you wanna smell nice too? Well, we got you! A concoction of sandalwood powder and olive oil makes a great and fragrant essential oil. Just mix it and strain it and you have it. But, in case this is too much to do, the good old jasmine flowers on the hair always help.
