DUBAI FOUNTAIN UPDATE: Witness the iconic water dance before it shuts for renovation!

Get ready to say ‘so long for now’ to one of Dubai’s most dazzling icons. This Saturday, April 19, is your final chance to witness the Dubai Fountain in full, splashy glory before it goes dark for a major glow-up. Back in February, Emaar announced that the world’s largest performing fountain would take a five-month beauty nap starting May 2025 for an upgrade. But plot twist – it’s clocking out a little earlier than expected. April 19 is officially your last chance to see it live.

Starting next month, the fountain will undergo a full-blown transformation with advanced tech upgrades, new choreography, and a souped-up sound and light system that promises to make future shows even more jaw-dropping. Think of it as the ultimate encore prep!

The crowd-pleasers on repeat are moonwalking with Michael Jackson’s Thriller, to dramatic goodbyes with Time to Say Goodbye by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman, all the way to a K-pop Power punch courtesy of EXO.

In October 2025 will be the comeback of the world’s largest performing fountain, and we expect nothing less than a Vegas-meets-Dubai spectacle.

Located at Burj Lake, just outside Dubai Mall and in the shadow of the Burj Khalifa, it’s the kind of show you feel as much as you see.

Shows run every 30 minutes from 6pm to 11pm nightly, with bonus matinees:

  • Saturday – Thursday: 1pm and 1:30pm
  • Fridays: 2pm and 2:30pm

Get front-row misted via the Dubai Fountain Boardwalk, a floating platform just 9 meters from the waterworks.

So, if you’ve been meaning to go, this is your ‘do it for the ’Gram’ moment. April 19 is the final splash – after that, it’s strictly memory lane until October. Go on, catch the magic before it waves goodbye until October!
