‘It is the best thing I’ve done in my entire film career so far:’ SS Rajamouli is all praise for NTR Jr’s Komaram Bheem!

NTR Jr. stunned viewers and veterans of the Indian film industry with his power-packed performance in the role of Komaram Bheem in SS Rajamouli’s RRR. Having garnered ₹1000 crores worldwide, the monstrous blockbuster introduced Tarak’s finesse and fandom to the pan-India scene. While NTR Jr’s pan-India revolution continues to roar at the box office, the master of grand cinema Rajamouli can’t stop raving about the song Komaram Bheemudo as enlivened on the big screen by Tarak.

The RRR director said, “I can’t stop gushing about the song Komaram Bheemudo where Tarak is being whipped and he is showing his defiance, his love, his pride, his betrayal – everything in that one song. And it’s aptly complemented by the friend who is giving him punishment – (Ram) Charan. I think that is the best thing that I have done in my entire film career so far.”

He added, “If you take particularly my favourite Komaram Bheemudo song, NTR plays Komaram Bheem. He’s being whipped and he still portrays his defiance, his betrayal, his patriotism, his pride in his land and nation. The way Tarak portrayed it was really really better than the way I imagined it to be when I first envisioned it. Those things came out much better than I anticipated.”

RRR marked NTR Jr’s first pan-India film and witnessed the actor pushing himself to the hilt for the said role. It included him gaining 20 kilos and pulling off action scenes and dubbing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. The actor will soon kick off the shoot for his next ‘NTR30’ directed by Koratala Siva.
