Lisa Kudrow confirms Friends reunion special

For 10 seasons, we watched the tale of Rachel, Ross, Joey, Monica, Chandler, and Phoebe as they navigate love and life. Now, after 17 years after the last episode aired, the cast is returning for a reunion special.

While HBO Max has yet to announce an official premiere date, Lisa Kudrow has revealed that it is absolutely happening. The actress reportedly stated that she has already done a pre-shot for the special and that the filming will resume by early spring.

However, the special isn’t a reboot of Friends explains Kudrow. The special is not going to be a scripted episode with the cast portraying their characters. The four actors will simply be getting together on screen, in front of other people, something that hasn’t happened since the show ended in 2004.

The cast will reminisce and look back on their memories from the sitcom which will possibly be shot in the coffee house set among others.

Matthew Perry had also taken to Twitter late last year to share, “Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March”. Series creators David Crane, Marta Kauffman, and Kevin Bright will all be directing the Friends reunion alongside the writer of The Late Late Show with James Corden, Ben Winston.
