It was Robin Williams Birth Anniversary on Tuesday (July 21). The late actor and the much-celebrated Hollywood star known for his impeccable comic-timing would’ve turned 69 years old. And the legendary actor’s daughter actress-filmmaker, Zelda Williams had the most unique way to celebrate and honour her dad’s memory.
Zelda took to Twitter and shared that she will be donating $69.69 to as many homeless shelters as she can and even urged the fans to join her if they like. And they did! Post the philanthropic act that saw participation from fans in huge numbers, Zelda thanked all the supporters for joining in to honour her dad on his birthday and shared that she would be going off the social media for a while. The actor known for films like Mrs Doubtfire, Patch Adams, Good Will Hunting, Dead Poet’s Society, The Birdcage and Jumanji amongst several others, had died at the age of 63 by suicide in August 2014. The actor who was struggling with Dementia had hung himself at his California home.
