Buzz is that the filmmaker and the superstar are in talks for a romantic film based on a real life story
Inspite of giving the cinematic gem Devdas (2002) together, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan did not team up again. Though several projects were planned and discussed – including a Sahir Ludhianvi biopic that was to star SRK as the renowned poet and lyricist – the two did not get a chance to work together again in the past two decades.
However that might change soon. Buzz is that Bhansali is in talks with SRK for a new film titled Izhaar. As per reports, the duo was to reunite for this film four years ago. Based on the real-life story of an Indian man who cycled all the way to Norway for his love, buzz is that Bhansali has shared the script with SRK and is awaiting his approval.
Meanwhile, Bhansali has Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi biographical crime drama up for release, as well as the web-series Heera Mandi that he’s working on and stars Sonakshi Sinha.
