The ultra glamorous and luxurious side of Dubai is well known to all of us. Only once you visit this city you realise, like any other city Dubai too has a side which is affordable, but just requires smart planning. Booking early flight tickets, a budget hotel and using public transport are few things common to all. But, where do we go without weighing heavy on our pockets? Let’s find out!
1. Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary
When we talk about trips and exploring a new city the list that pops up first is sightseeing. While the options are plenty, this wildlife park located at the mouth of Dubai creek tops the list as there is no entry fee and you can enjoy the magnificent views of Dubai in this paradise filled with mangroves and wildlife.
2. Camel Racing
To relish the Emirati culture and heritage, you can take a trip to the Dubai Camel Racing Club. You can witness one of the richest traditional sports in the Arab world for free. Handlers race along as the camels are guided by robot jockeys. These races are fun to watch and an unique memorable experience for the first timers.
3. Alserkal Avenue
Does art and creativity excite you? Then this place screams art. An industrial space that hosts art exhibitions, events and also a home to many art galleries. A district on its own with a vibrant atmosphere, also has cafes and restaurants built on the same artistic grounds. As they say, its not a place but an experience.
4. Al Seef
A must see charming heritage destination that highlights the old world architecture with modern amenities. With a multitude of restaurants and shops along the creek, it gives you an alternative that fits every budget. You can also add a dhow cruise to your itinerary which offers you to experience Dubai by waters and also works cheaper than hiring a yacht.
5. Al Karama
A major share of expense on any trip is food. What to eat and where to eat? A question that constantly hounds you when you travel. Dubai is a food capital, name any cuisine and it’s available here! While it could be hard to resist, there are plenty of eateries that could fit every budget available in Al Karama area. Take a stroll and you already have a list of restaurants.
