Countries that open doors to UAE residents this summer

With restrictions easing in many parts of the world, travel is no longer a distant dream. The adrenaline rush to experience newness now has a direction. A detox from the familiar, a vacation is what many of us need. To all the UAE residents, we have good news! Many countries have opened their borders to Tourists. Let’s find out where we can tour this summer! 

1. Croatia
If ancient towns, warm days and deep blue waters is your idea of a much longed vacation, then Dubrovnik is the place for you. It’s picturesque coastline and medieval charm is a visual treat. Croatia is now open to tourists with the COVID-19 guidelines in place. Either a vaccination certificate showing you had your final jab 14 days ago or a negative PCR test taken 48 hours before travel is required.

2. Serbia 
An enchanting country that is off the mainstream trail, but is as strikingly beautiful as any other European country. Serbia is a natural beauty with old monasteries and historical towns that comes into spirit with its happening night life and festivals. It is now gaining attention as one of the countries that is welcoming tourists. A vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test is all what you need.

3. Greece
Trending in currently opened borders list is every travellers favourite, Greece. Been here already? Not an issue, it’s a country we all love and as they say you fall in love with the place more and more every time. Greece is known for it’s rich culture, zealous music and scrumptious cuisine to name a few. A valid vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to travel is mandatory.

4. Georgia
A closest overseas escape from the UAE. Georgia is all about stunning landscapes, great hospitality, rocky beaches to mountain hiking. It’s a refreshing getaway closer to nature for UAE residents. A negative PCR test 72 hours before travel, followed by another PCR test on the third day of your trip at your own expense or a valid vaccination certificate as an evidence is required.

5. Maldives
A romantic paradise open to all vaccinated travellers from July 2020. Ideal for travellers looking for some time off-the-grid to refuel and rejuvenate, a place where blue sky meets white clouds. Witness serendipity at its best. With more than 60 percent of its population vaccinated, Maldives is open to vaccinated tourists or travellers with a negative PCR test taken within 96 hours of travel and also providing a confirmed place of stay is required.
