Did you notice Aamir Khan’s cameo appearances in these films?

Here’s wishing Aamir Khan a happy birthday!

Would you recognise Aamir Khan if you saw him in a film? What an absurd question, you might say. So let us rephrase it. Did you recognise the actor in these films where he has cameo appearances? Some of them are a blink-and-miss, and in some, he plays himself. Check out our list and find out if you noticed Khan in the following films:

Yaadon Ki Baraat (1973)

Khan was barely eight when he spent a few minutes on the silver screen in this film, playing the younger version of lead actor Dharmendra. Of course, it happened as his uncle, Nasir Hussain produced the film. In fact,  a young Padmini Kolhapure also played a small role. This film was where it all started for a young boy, who went to do a plethora of films, and taking the nation by a storm in his hey days.

Pehla Nasha (1993)

The only film to have Aamir, Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan in a scene together, Pehla Nasha, tanked at the box office. The trio have cameo appearances in this Deepak Tijori-Pooja Bhatt-Raveena Tandon starrer, but even that could not save the film. It was directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, giving you an indication of how his friend with Aamir is decades old.

Damini (1993)

Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi added a unique element to his film, Damini. He had his actor from another film, Andaz Apna Apna, do a cameo in Damini, to promote the former! Hardly has anyone in Bollywood done this, let alone back in 1993. And this is how Khan has a cameo in Damini; he performs a song on stage in his absolute cracker of a film, helmed by Meenakshi Seshadri (pictured above).

Luck By Chance (2009)

Zoya Akhtar’s directorial debut had a litany of actors play themselves; did you notice Khan play himself and shoot a scene at the very start of the film, with Konkana Sen Sharma’s character of a struggling actor?

Besides these, Khan has also appeared as the actor himself in songs in Delhi Belly and Bombay Talkies.
