Hrithik Roshan joined a host of American and Hollywood stars to help raise funds for India’s COVID-19 relief efforts. The actor, who plays the superhero Krrish on-screen, did his bit to contribute to the cause and help raise an estimated USD 3.68 million.
According to a post by author Jay Shetty, Roshan contributed USD 15,000 to the fundraiser, which had stars including Shawn Mendes, Jada and Will Smith, Jamie Kern Lima and many others donating towards the initiative to aid relief efforts in India.
Thanking everyone who participated in the fundraiser, Shetty said in his post, “My heart is filled with joy knowing that lives will be helped and saved. This is just the beginning! We have a lot of work to do.”

Several Bollywood celebs like Taapsee Pannu, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Katrina Kaif, Sidharth Malhotra, among others have come forward to engage with their followers to amplify distress calls, share helpline numbers and support relief efforts.
