So the news did come as a surprise, but the grace with it the matter is being handled doesn’t raise an eyebrow. The two-time Oscar winning actress and her husband of 11 years, Jim Toth, are getting a divorce. On her social media, she shares a joint statement, writing that the decision was a difficult one to make, and they will continue to treat their children as priority.

‘We have made the difficult decision to divorce, and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together,’ the note mentions. Witherspoon and Toth have a 10-year-old son named Tennessee, and she has a daughter and a son from a previous marriage.
