Ankita Lokhande to return as Archana in the show
With sequels of several hit shows finding their way on the OTT platforms, the latest to join the list is Pavitra Rishta 2.0. The show – that had first catapulted the late Sushant Singh Rajput to fame and made him a household name – had him paired opposite then real life girlfriend Ankita Lokhande. Their characters and the hit pair of Manav and Archana was much loved too.
And now as per reports, it is revealed that Shaheer Sheikh (of Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi and Mahabharat fame) will play the role of Manav in Pavitra Rishta 2.0, while Ankita will return as Archana. The reports were confirmed by the show’s casting director Aditya Suranna.
Usha Nadkarni too will be seen reprising her role in the show. Sushant had left the show in 2011 for pursuing his career in Bollywood. Hiten Tejwani had then carried forward the character of Manav for three years, till the show went off air in 2014.
