Joining the league of actress-turned-producers is Taapsee Pannu who has launched her own production house Outsiders Films. Teaming up with Pranjal Khandhdiya – who has been involved in the production of acclaimed films including Piku, Super 30, Soorma, and the upcoming Rashmi Rocket and 83 – the actress has announced her maiden production, Blurr that she is co-producing. The Hindi remake of Spanish psychological thriller, Julia’s Eyes, Taapsee will be headlining the film and co-star Gulshan Devaiah.
Written by Pawan Sony and Ajay Bahl, the film will be helmed by Bahl.
The Spanish thriller directed by Guille Morales revolves around a woman who’s losing her sight while trying to investigate the death of her twin sister. The film is Taapsee’s second Spanish remake after Sujoy Ghosh’s Badla (2019) that was a remake of The Invisible Guest.
Blurr is being produced by Vishal Rana and Anthony Dsouza of Echelon Productions, Pranjal Khandhdiya of Mango Purple Media Network in association with Zee Studios. Meanwhile, basking in the praise coming in for Haseen Dilruba, Taapsee’s upcoming films include Looop Lapeta, Rashmi Rocket, DooBaaraa, Shabaash Mithu, as well as a South film.
