Today’s Question: What is the difference between Toner and Essence?

While we all aspire to have a healthy glowing skin, stepping into the skincare world can be a bit overwhelming with the huge variety of products available on the shelves. But no worries at all, we got you covered! To know what is best for your skin, you must first learn more about the products.

Eye-cream, toner, serum, face oil, moisturizer, etc. Believe it or not, all these products are part of your daily routine to get that smooth baby skin! But applying them without proper information of when to apply what and understanding what each product is meant to do, might end up causing more damage than enhancing your skin. And a common confusion point is toners and essence! So let’s talk them. And if you thought they the same, the answer is, no sweetie, they are not!

What is toner?

Toner is used to balance the skin pH, and get rid of all impurities that you might miss while cleaning your face. Toners are mostly a part of the Western skincare routines. Besides balancing the skin pH, toners work on smoothing and hydrating the skin. They help to deep clean your skin’s pores.

What is essence?

Essence is usually used in the Korean skincare routine. It’s used to prepare the skin for the other products. Essence is an essential step in the Korean skincare routine. They depend on essences to hydrate the skin after cleansing the skin and applying toner on it. To put it in a shorter form; essence helps the skin to absorb the rest of the products for a better final result.

And those who use both, have understood the game of skincare well!
