“Because I am happy,” says Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor shared an endearing set of black and white photos on his Instagram as he gears up for the release of his next sports drama, Jersey. The  actor is out and about the city doing promotions for the movie. Jersey also has Mrunal Thakur in the lead role and is a remake of a Tamil movie of the same name.

In the movie, Kapoor plays the role of a thirty-six-year-old failed cricketer who returns to the game to fulfill his son’s wishes. In a recent interview, Shahid was asked about the special preparation that went behind the making of the film. He told the news portal, “We did four months of training. We started in Bombay and began playing on hard surfaces. We started with throwdowns. I used to spend four-five hours a day playing cricket for four months and then on set also a lot”.

It is reported that Shahid Kapoor received thirteen stitches during a scene, though he recovered later. The movie, directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, will hit the theatres on April 14.

A few days ago, Shahid took to Instagram and shared a stunning picture of himself. He was wearing a grey  T-shirt paired with a cream coloured jacket. He completed his look with stylish sunglasses, a fx-cap and was flaunting a stubble look. In the caption, he asked for suggestions from the fans to promote the movie once again because of the delay in release. Shahid wrote, “So how does one promote the same film a second time?? Any suggestions?”
