The actress who celebrates her birthday today (August 1) has an interesting mix of films to look forward to
Taapsee Pannu is one powerhouse performer who has always proven her acting chops on screen. The actress wowed us in Pink, Thappad, Manmarziyaan, Badla, amongst other films both in Bollywood as well as in the South industry and most recently has been garnering praise for the OTT release Haseen Dillruba. And as she celebrates her birthday today, here’s taking a look at 5 of her upcoming films that has us most excited:
Shabaash Mithu
Taapsee will be seen playing Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj in this sports biopic being directed by Srijit Mukherji. The actress has been training hard to perfect her cricketing skills and we can expect her to hit the ball out of the park with this one too.
Rashmi Rocket
Directed by Akarsh Khurana, this again is a sports drama, but this one has Taapsee play an aspiring athlete from a village and traces her journey as she overcomes all obstacles to realise her dream.
Blurr
Taapsee has also turned producer and she announced her maiden production Blurr. The thriller will be directed by Ajay Bahl.
Looop Lapeta
An Aakash Bhatia directorial, this official Hindi remake of the German hit Run Lola Run (1998) will have Taapsee get into the shoes of Franka Potente. The film produced by Sony Pictures Films India and Atul Kasbekar’s Ellipsis Entertainment, also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin.
Dobaaraa
Taapsee will be seen reuniting with her Manmarziyaan (2008) director Anurag Kashyap for this one. The thriller is in the pre-production phase and expected to go on the floors soon.
