Bhuj: The Pride of India

Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and starring Ajay Devgan in the lead role, this movie is based on the life of IAF officer and Squadron leader Vijay Karnik and the inspiring story of how 300 brave women of Kutch, who repaired the Bhuj Air-strip overnight, during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, which was detrimental in helping the Air Force secure India’s victory. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.

Tejas

Tejas is an upcoming movie based on a female pilot on the Indian Air Force starring Kangana Ranaut. This movie is directed by Sarvesh Mewara. The 34-year-old actor tweeted, “Playing a Sikh soldier in Tejas. I never knew until I read my character full name on my uniform today. Had an instant smile on my face. Our longings and love has a way of manifesting, universe speaks to us in more ways than we understand.” Tejas is bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP. The film marks the directorial debut of Sarvesh Mewara, who had earlier in a statement said, “When your debut film has Ronnie Screwvala as the producer and Kangana Ranaut as the lead actor, going all out to chase your dreams feels worth it.” Kangana, who earlier said that she has always “been fascinated with the Armed Forces since childhood,” hopes that Tejas instills a sense of patriotism and pride in the youth of today.

Major 

Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and starring Adivi Sesh and Saiee Manjrekar, Major is an upcoming biography of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a martyr of the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Though Major has faced delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it will still be a critically acclaimed film by the looks of its trailer and teaser videos. Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s sacrifice is one that every Indian is grateful about. The film is
produced by Sony Pictures, G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment and A+S Movies. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi and later dubbed into Malayalam, Adivi Sesh (in his Hindi film debut) portrays Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the title character, in addition to writing the script.

Sam Bahadur 

This movie is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who was the chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. It is directed by Meghna Gulzar and will star Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. Maneskshaw was known best for his level-headed leadership during the war and the decisions he made that led to India’s victory in the face of adversity. Hence it will be amazing to watch how Vicky will essay the unique mannerisms of the real-life superhero.

Ekkis

Ekkis will be produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. It is a story about Second Lieutenant Arun Kheterpal. The twenty-one-year-old who showed extreme bravery in the face of fierce and unrelenting attacks by the Pakistani military, Khetarpal was honored with India’s most-prestigious and highest-standard military medal for courage and gallantry- the Param Vir Chakra, posthumously. Varun Dhawan who plays Arun Kheterpal, to prep for the role has to spend some time at the National Defence Academy (NDA) and go through the grind. Right now, the team is working out our plan for the VFX of the film and how scenes will be shot because  to recreate a specific time zone.
