The filming of Suresh Triveni’s intense drama begins; film set for Summer 2022 release
Vidya Balan and her Tumhari Sulu writer-director Suresh Triveni have teamed up once again, this time for an intense drama, Jalsa. The film also has T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment collaborate again after Sherni. Besides reuniting Suresh with the powerhouse actor Vidya Balan, it also brings on-board another actor par excellence, Shefali Shah.
Supporting the lead cast is a powerful ensemble comprising Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Gurpal Singh and Surya Kasibhatla (debutant) with Manav Kaul in a special appearance. Jalsa is written by Prajwal Chandrashekar and Suresh Triveni, with dialogues by Hussain and Abbas Dalal.
Talking about Jalsa and her reunion with Suresh Triveni, T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment, Vidya Balan tells us, “I’m very excited to collaborate again with Suresh. Tumhari Sulu was a one-of-a-kind, fun experience and I look forward to us creating something special with Jalsa.
