Proactiv Entertainment, in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, is thrilled to announce that the sensational feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! will be coming to Abu Dhabi from June 11 to June 22, 2025.
Having captured the hearts of audiences worldwide, MAMMA MIA! is the sunny, funny tale of love, family and friendship inspired by ABBA greatest hits. Created by Judy Craymer, this beloved musical tells the lighthearted and humorous tale of a mother, her daughter, and three possible fathers on an idyllic Greek island.
Since its debut in London’s West End in 1999, MAMMA MIA! has celebrated an incredible 25 years of success, enchanting more than 70 million people across the globe.

Now, Abu Dhabi audiences will have the chance to be part of this phenomenon, immersing themselves in a feel-good experience that has resonated across generations.
With music and lyrics by Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus, MAMMA MIA! was written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd, and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast. The production is designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce & Bobby Aitken, and musical direction, additional material, and arrangements by Martin Koch.
